The SKYJIB™ series are the largest craft in the Droidworx fleet; these airframes have been designed around maximum capacity engines 4120/20 series Axi motors and a high quality industrial grade dynamically balanced 15-20 Plettenberg, both fitted with 14"+ propellers. These craft have 20mm 3k carbon uni- directional booms, stronger 4mm aircraft grade alloy anodized bolts and nuts, larger 11.5mm gear rail tubes and larger anti- vibration grommets and pads; the proven V3-AD series anti-vibration engine mounts and boom mounts are used in the "SKYJIB™" only they have been increased in size to accomodate the larger engines, larger booms and the increased torque and thrust.
The gear rail brackets are made from 3mm poly carbonate with 4 mounting points for increased strength to handle large pro level video camera's such as the Red Epic.
The SKYJIB™ 6 is designed for larger DSLR and Sub-pro level video and the SKYJIB™ 8 with extra boom bracing for the full pro aerial cinematography setups.
Optional Retractable Landing gear is available for the SKYJIB™ craft , standard is the fixed undercarriage set shown here on the SKYJIB™ 8 above.. and the retracts shown - middle image.
The bottom image shows the new Droidworx (Patented) Boom Nacelle - an aerodynamic leading edge for under the prop wash to reduce "drag and buffeting" of airflow over the booms and increase the crafts efficiency, flight time and ensure perfect image quality. These high quality Carbon moulded parts weight 5 gams each.
Also shown is the "Plettenberg" Orbit 15-20 engine a 3Kg thrust 175 gram dynamically balanced industrial grade motor...; providing a 4KG+ payload for the SKYJIB™ 8 and 3KG+ payload for the SKYJIB™ 6 - all the production model craft will have new engine mount disks to fit these ultra smooth running engines.
